When news spread around the 3rd District of Quezon City about Councilor Julian M.L Coseteng’s intensive anti-rabies campaign, the other barangays that have not yet been covered requested that they be scheduled to avail of this free medical service.
For the month of February, 2011, anti-rabies vaccination was first conducted in front of the Barangay Hall of Barangay Quirino 2C with 135 dogs treated. This was followed by Barangay Pansol where the activity was conducted at the Kaingin II Covered Court with 80 dogs treated. At Barangay Masagana, dog owners gathered at the open space fronting the Barangay Hall with dogs numbering 249 have likewise been treated. Meanwhile, about 250 dogs were treated at the covered court of Barangay Bagumbuhay.
The successful conduct of this worthwhile activity has been made possible due to the coordinated efforts of Coseteng’s office, the Quezon City Veterinarian and the respective barangay officials.
