Even after the 3rd term of Councilor Julian M.L. Coseteng of the 3rd District of Quezon City ended, it did not stop him from going around the district meeting barangay officials and leaders to see what more he can do for his constituents. He continued to serve his people even when he was no longer in office. As a private citizen for the next three years offered him opportunities to mingle with them, discuss some concerns and issues, and find out how he could help develop and improve the district towards a more promising tomorrow. He knew then that there are still so many things to do in his district to make it a prime district of Quezon City.
Then the catastrophic super typhoon “Ondoy” wrought havoc to the district and surrounding areas. Coseteng was found wading through the flooded areas, accompanied by loyal followers, distributing bags of relief goods to the hapless flood victims. He made sure that help was within reach for the residents. It is no wonder why the residents of the 3rd District of Quezon City have maintained their love and respect for Coseteng.
