COSETENG LED RELIEF OPERATIONS FOR FIRE VICTIMS

The conflagration that occurred in Barangay Socorro, 3rd District of Quezon City, left about 238 families homeless.  Councilor Julian M.L. Coseteng gave instructions at once to his staff to prepare bags of relief goods for immediate distribution to the unfortunate fire victims to help alleviate their suffering.

A calamity such as this wrought havoc to a densely-populated areas.  It is quite difficult for the fire victims to lose their homes and belongings, especially when there are many children affected.  It is also too bad that there were some looters who took advantage of the confusion around the area which caused the barangay officials and policemen to be doubly busy helping and keeping guard on the fire victims and whatever belongings they have been been able to save.

The prompt response of Coseteng to the plight of his constituents have made him closer to their hearts.  When one helps families in distress, the feeling of being there for them at the time when they needed help is indeed heartwarming.  The hapless fire victims are likewise strengthened to face the inevitable and survive the crisis when they see that somebody cares.
